Country Duo The Shires to Headline Yorfest 2017

We are delighted to present the UK's Number One Country Act The Shires for a special full band headline, festival style concert at York Racecourse on Saturday 23rd Sept.

Comprised of singer-songwriters Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes, The Shires formed in 2013 after Earle posted a "There must be a country singer somewhere" message on Facebook seeking a partner, to which Rhodes responded.

They released their debut album Brave in 2015, becoming the first UK country act to chart in the Top 10 of the UK Album Charts. The group's second album, My Universe became the fastest-selling UK country album in history when it was released in October 2016.

Hungate York Regeneration proudly sponsors Yorfest 2017

Hungate is York’s striking new residential quarter in the centre of the city. The location couldn’t be better. Hungate, cradled in a bend of the River Foss, is just a stroll from the city’s beautiful medieval heart and less than a mile from majestic York Minster. It’s York in its purest essence. This latest phase adds 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments to this exciting mix.

The apartments are designed to be as stylish as they are practical. Each room has been thoughtfully designed to maximise space and create light filled interiors with a variety of complementary external finishes.

The Hungate regeneration scheme is being developed by the joint partnership of Lendlease and Evans Property Group
